Pune Selections and Spotlights for Sunday 21st November 2021

1st Race

Sunlord and Chieftain has the benefit of runs and may strike soon. Kamaria is in good touch and will not go down without a fight.

2. Chieftain - Fourth on debut, working well and will be in the fighting line up

3. Sunlord - Rallied well to finish fourth on debut early last month and has worked well since. Should be fit enough to improve on that run.

7. Kamaria - Twice third both over 10f & 8f. She can place again.

9. Walk The Talk - A close 3rd to Aira over 10 furlongs distance after many poor runs. Keep an eye.

Selections 3-2-7

2nd Race

Zuccarelli looms large in this set and is the one to beat. Animous has the benefit of runs and may strike soon. 

1. Botero - First run. Working well and will look to have a bold show.

2. Willy Wonkaa - First run. The youngster is working well and can surprise on debut.

3. Zuccarelli - Has gained experience running the bigger races. Second to Miracle in the Deccan Derby (Gr.1) at Hyderabad. Working well and looks the one to beat.

4. Animous -  Fifth behind to Sunrise on debut and will look to better that.

5. Esfir - Improved and fair fifth, can improve.

Selections 3-4-1

3rd Race

Immeasurable lost out in the last run and will look to make amends. Marlboro Man could provide a fight while Seminole ought to figure in the frame in this set. 

2. Immeasurable - Lost out second to Multistarrer and working fairly well. Will look to make amends. 

4. Seminole - Improved to finish one off the frame last time out. Tracking well subsequently and can show further improvement.

5. Flash Force - Fair third last time out, but not seen on morning work, hope can place again.

6. Winter Storm - Ran a street behind 6th in Excelerator's race on debut and the colt will have to show some form to be fancied.

10. Marlboro Man - Good second last time out over a similar distance, will fight for honours.

Selections 2-10-4

4th Race

Kinnara with a run under his belt looks the prime fancy. Jughead should have benefited by the debut run and should work for a better performance. 

5. Jughead - Finished fifth on debut over five furlongs trip. The gelding will look better over the extra furlong.

6. Kinnara - Fifth to Lit on debut. She will look to do better with the benefit of the run.

4. Perfect Man - Fair sixth to Sunrise over seven furlongs trip. The colt should have benefited by the run.

Selections 8-5-4

5th Race

Parisian stands tall and should be the firm favourite to take the top spot. Caprisca and Truly Epic are the ones likely to take the minor slots.

1. Parisian - Won impressively over a similar distance in the Eve Champion Trophy (Gr.3). Has the form and will look to score an encore.

2. Caprisca - Not the most consistent, but he finished a fair second behind North Star last time out over a similar trip and should be concerned at the finish.

3. Truly Epic - Third behind North Star over 2000m distance. Finds himself in a tougher set, will do well to place. 

4. Apsara Star - Fifth to Parisian last time out in the Eve Champion Trophy (Gr.3) and can improve on that.

Selections 1-2-3

6th Race

Northern Lights looks the one to beat but it may not be as easy with the presence of Multistarrer. Winter and Chancellor can improve to finish in the money. 

1. Northern Lights - The speedy gelding was a winner early this season. Carry is top weight but the allowance claimed can come in handy. Should not go down without a fight.

3. Evangeline - Ignore her last run this season, earlier was consistent in Mumbai season, can improve on that.

5. Multistarrer - An impressive winner over a similar distance and an encore is a bright possibility.

7. Winter - Tame fourth last time out, can hope to improve on that run.

8. Stars for You - Won well in last Mumbai season, Gets a tough bunch this time too.

9. Chancellor - Ran fourth to Minx last time out, earlier fairly consistent, can be in the fight.

Selections 1-5-7

7th Race

Born Queen stands out in this set and should be prominent at the finish. Alluring Silver, if back to her old form, can make a fight for it. Sultan Suleiman and Victorious Sermon can make the finish interesting.

1. Born Queen - Classy filly won well over a mile in Ooty, working well on morning work. She has the experience to be in the ranks. Runs with a decent chance.

2. Alluring Silver - Classy filly who has been consistent all through, finished third behind Juliette The Golden Jubilee President Of India Gold Cup (Gr.2) at Hyderabad. Her recent morning work impressively and shapes as the top contender.

6. Sultan Suleiman - A winner over seven furlongs distance early this season. Will look to defy the penalty (6 points) over the extra 1 furlong. Should get a mile and has the form to be prominent at the finish.

7. Victorious Sermon - Fair third last time out in Ooty. Fairly consistent and can fight for honours.

Selections 1-2-6

8th Race

Sandra's Secret lost narrowly in an encore bid and should bounce back. Timeless Deeds, Arabian Storm and Istanbul are the ones likely to take the minor slots.

2. Timeless Deeds - Finished second last time in the lower class, but not too consistent, can be expected to be in the fighting line.

4. Sandra's Secret - A winner in the earlier start, the mare lost narrowly to The Flutist and will look to make amends and bounce back.

6. Istanbul - Improved and finished fourth to Excelerator over a shorter sprint, can improve on that.

9. Arabian Storm - Showed some improvement in his last two runs and can hit the board.
